North Miami Community Schools: will hold a regular school board meeting at 7 p.m.
Sept. 12
Converse Lions Club: will host a fish fry and chicken strips dinner from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Borderman Park Gym, Ind. 18, Converse. Advance tickets are $5 for children and $9 for adults, and door tickets for children are $5 and $10 for adults. Preschool-aged children are free with a paying adult. Carry-outs are available and all proceeds go to Lions Club projects.
Miami Co. Plan/Building Comission: will hold a regular meeting at 7:30 p.m., following their 6:30 p.m. executive session. They will meet in the GAR room of the courthouse.

The Miami County Substance Abuse Prevention Council: will host its fourth annual Ride for Recovery from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Riverview Event Center. There will be guest speakers, a pulled pork lunch, and many other activities.
