PHS Class of 1956: will meet for lunch at Gabriel’s at 11:30 a.m.

Oct. 13

The NOW Generation of the New Waverly United Methodist Church: will serve their monthly breakfast from 7-9:30 a.m. The meal will be a freewill offering, with proceeds supporting various mission projects. Call Carol Lowe at 473-1285 for more information.

Peru Public Library: will host their second annual pumpkin deocrating contest during operating hours. Three winners will be chosen by popular vote: Facebook favorite, staff favorite and patron favorite. Carved pumpkins will not be allowed. Movers and Shakers: The Peru Public Library will offer this every Monday on the children’s floor, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Story Time: The Peru Public Library will offer story time on the children’s floor every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., and every Thursday at 2 p.m.

Peru Animal Care and Control: will offer low cost pet spaying and neutering every second Thursday of the month. Dropoff times for dogs are 6:15-6:30 a.m., and cat dropoffs are from 6:30-6:45 a.m. Pickup time is from 5-5:30 p.m. Call 450-6750 for more information.
