Lonnie Roy Breitweiser

Lonnie Roy Breitweiser of Tavares, Florida, passed away on Monday, Sept. 17, 2018, at the age of 57 years. He was born in Bunker Hill to Jerry and Carolyn Breitweiser and grew up in Peru. He attended First Christian Church in Peru. Lonnie proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He moved to Volusia County, Florida, in 1988 and relocated to Gulf Port, Mississippi, in 2005 and returned to Florida in July 2017, settling in Tavares.

Lonnie was a brilliant electrical engineer working for Computer Power Systems in Winter Springs, Florida, doing contract work with Corvo Technology and Duke Energy. In his free time he loved to ride his motorcycle and was a member of H.O.G. – Harley Owners Group.

Lonnie is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife of 30 years, Jill; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Caitlin Breitweiser of Savannah, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and John Daw of Mount Dora, Florida; daughter, Jamie Breitweiser of Mobile, Alabama; his parents, Jerry and Carolyn Breitweiser of Tavares; brother and sister-in-law, Chad and Corinna Breitweiser of Schneider; sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Mike Browne of Fort Pierce, Florida, and grandchildren, Cale, Casen, Ann Maris and Carsyn.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at the First Christian Church in Peru. Pastor Jim Loft will officiate. Burial will follow at the Ever Rest Memorial Park in Cass County.
