Miami County Historical Society: will hold a celebration to honor veterans of World War I by placing flowers in the courthouse lawn. For more information, contact the County VSO.

Bunker Hill United Methodist Church: will host a freewill donation pancake and sausage breakfast from 8-10 a.m. at the corner of Broadway and North Elm streets.

Bunker Hill: will hold a Veterans Day program at the Bunker Hill Community Center from 1-3 p.m. The program will include patriotic music, a speaker from Purple Heart Veterans, Miami County Military Rites and Stars for Heroes. For more information, call (765)614-9142, option 2.

Nov. 12

Peru High School: will host a Veteran’s Day ceremony for Miami County Veterans from 11 a.m.-noon. For more information, contact the VSO office.

Movers and Shakers: The Peru Public Library will offer this every Monday on the children’s floor, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Story Time: The Peru Public Library will offer story time on the children’s floor every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., and every Thursday at 2 p.m.

Peru Animal Care and Control: will offer low cost pet spaying and neutering every second Thursday of the month. Drop-off times for dogs are 6:15-6:30 a.m., and cat drop-offs are from 6:30-6:45 a.m. Pickup time is from 5-5:30 p.m. Call 450-6750 for more information.
