Thomas T. Lennon Sept. 28, 1933 - Dec. 3, 2018

Loving and devoted husband and father Thomas T. Lennon, 85, of Peru passed away at 5:02 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, 2018.

He was born in Peru on Sept. 28, 1933, to William Floyd and Ida Mae (Madlem) Lennon. He was a retired sheet metal worker/welder and a retired civil service employee at Grissom Air Reserve Base. He also served in the United States Navy from 1952-1956 during the Korean Conflict. Thomas was a member of the First Church of the Brethren in Peru. He was also a member of the Bunker Hill Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite of Ft. Wayne, a member of the American Legion in Walton, and both the Moose Lodge and Eagles Lodge in Peru. Thomas and his wife Sally also owned and operated the Paramount Bar & Grill from 1970-1977.

He is survived by his loving wife Sally (Black) Lennon; one son, Thomas M. Lennon and wife Avis of Peru; and two daughters, Deidre S. Bench of Peru and Angela M. Bucher and husband Todd of Peru. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister and one son, James T. Lennon.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 W. Third St., Peru, Indiana. Funeral service will be held at 5:30 p.m. with Pastor Phil Cruea officiating. Masonic service will follow at 6 p.m. Military service will be provided by the Miami County Military Rites Team.

Donations may be made to the new Miami County YMCA Capital Campaign Fund, 34 E. Sixth St., Peru, Indiana, 46970, in the Lennon family name.
