Parkview United Methodist Church: will host the Food Finders mobile food pantry at 1785 Ind. 19 beginning at 11 a.m. Restrictions apply and those attending are requested to bring a way to carry items home with them. Purdue University Miami County Extension: will hold an ag outlook breakfast at the Miami County 4-H Fairgrounds from 8:15-11 a.m. with special guest Dr. Michael Gunderson, director of the Center for Food & Agricultural Business at Purdue University.

First Baptist Church of Denver: will hold an American Red Cross blood drive from 1-6:30 p.m. at 111 N. Yorick St., Denver. Call 1-800-733-2767 or go to the American Red Cross website and enter sponsor code “fbcden” to make an appointment.

Miami County Substance Abuse Prevention Council: will host a free “Tall Cop Says Stop” event from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Peru High School auditorium. The event will feature drug trend expert Jermaine Galloway as keynote speaker.

March 6

Peru Rotary Club: will host its annual Spellathon from 6-8 p.m. at Blair Pointe Upper Elementary School. Teams are made of five members and registration is $75 per team. Email the Peru Rotary Club at perurotaryclub@yahoo.com or check their Facebook page for more info.

Peru Circus City Festival Band: will hold their second annual all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Peru Maennerchor. For more information, contact either Rex Stitsworth at 469-1920 or Diane Haley at 469-2398.

Movers and Shakers: The Peru Public Library will offer this every Monday on the children’s floor, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Story Time: The Peru Public Library will offer story time on the children’s floor every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., and every Thursday at 2 p.m.

Peru Animal Care and Control: will offer low cost pet spaying and neutering every second Thursday of the month. Drop-off times for dogs are 6:15-6:30 a.m., and cat drop-offs are from 6:30-6:45 a.m. Pickup time is from 5-5:30 p.m. Call 450-6750 for more information.
