Though state health officials have kept Miami County at a slightly elevated status in terms of community spread of COVID-19, local vaccination efforts continue to make slow, but steady progress.

Data from the Indiana State Department of Health on Friday showed that Miami County remains in the yellow status, a step up from the lowest blue status. That, the data showed, is due to a seven-day average positivity rate of 7.07 percent and a rate of new weekly cases of 70 per 100,000.
