Makaylah Castelow, a 2021 Maconaquah High School graduate, was one of 29 students to receive a $4,000 grant for her first year of college. Her social studies teacher, Kari Catanzaro, was also honored at the “Realizing the Dream” banquet on Feb. 25.
Castelow, who currently attends Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, was chosen to receive the “Realizing the Dream” award by the Independent Colleges of Indiana (ICI).
