Officials at Maconaquah Schools have lifted the corporation’s requirement for students to wear masks inside their buildings.

“Last night our Maconaquah School Board met to reevaluate the current mask mandate for our schools. It was voted that face coverings will now be optional in all Maconaquah School buildings, this includes all extracurricular activities and sporting events,” a Tuesday letter to parents said. “The corporation will be moving to a tiered level ‘Stoplight System’ where each building will be assessed individually on a daily & weekly basis.”
