Nearly 100 county residents have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past two days as the state continues to battle a surge in cases driven by the highly contagious delta variant.

Friday’s update from the Indiana State Department of Health added 44 news cases to the county’s total number of cases. That followed an increase of 54 cases released in Thursday’s update which also added a new death to the county’s total.
