Peru Softball – May 15
Peru Softball played at the Argyll Invitational on Saturday. In Game 1, the Tigers lost to Connersville 9-6. Senior Graycee Ansari pitched 6-2/3 innings to senior catcher Hailey Wolfe and struck out six. Junior Karsynn Beattie went in for relief with sophomore Emily Ream doing the catching. In the consolation game, the Tigers fell to Maconaquah 10-9. Beattie threw 5-1/3 innings to Ream and struck out two. Sophomore Maddie Nordman went in with bases loaded and threw 2/3 of an inning to finish the game. The Tigers were led offensively by Ansari who went seven for eight on the day, followed by Ream who was five for eight. Additionally, freshman Shelby Renn hit her first high school career home run.
