The Maconaquah boys swim team finished the sectional finals with many best times on Saturday. All three relays had season best times. The medley relay (Coen, Cole, Richie and Hunter) finished seventh, the 200 free relay (Bryant, Vinny, Walker and Hunter) finished seventh, and the 400 free relay (Bryant, Walker, Richie and Cole) finished fifth and dropped 5 seconds from Thursday. Cole Bretzman finished 12th in the 200 individual medley and seventh in 100 breaststroke. Walker Hays finished 14th in the 200 free and 12th in 100 free. Richie Leary finished 14th in 100 backstroke. Hunter O’Connor finished 12th in 50 free. Bryant Teegardin finished 15th in the 100 butterfly. Jade Chadwell finished 14th in diving. The Golden Goggle Award went to Vincenzo Rooker. He finished second in diving and advanced to diving regional on Tuesday. Top eight finishers will advance to state.
